Recently in a trance, I saw the front page of a newspaper. Across the top section of the paper the headlines read “NEW IDENTITY”. This was written in bold six-inch gold letters overlaying a red background. There were several subtitles listed below however I was only allowed to read the first one. It said, “AWAKENING TO AWARENESS”. The Lord is awakening the body of believers to the awareness of Christ in the earth in this day.
Then I heard the Lord say, “My children need to know who I am. They speak it with their mouth yet do not know Me in their heart and mind. Today I’ll begin to show them if they are willing to hear and take time to observe. I get blamed for things I don’t do and not given credit for things I do. There is misunderstanding of Scripture and misconception of Me, My attributes and the authority I’ve given My children. Now I’m setting the record straight through demonstration and power of who I AM.”
I believe the Lord is awakening the part of His body that has been in a state of spiritual slumber. Many have been riding on the coat tails of religion for so long they are unable to discern the Word of God. For some Scripture has become a good novel and others have placed it on the shelf waiting for a rainy day. Unfortunately there has been a lot of mixture throughout church history resulting in confusion, unbelief and a turning away from the Word.
I believe that those who have and ear to hear and heart to understand shall be brought out of spiritual darkness and lead into His marvelous light. After all, He is the Light and we are the children of light. (Ephesians 5:8) I believe the body of Christ is awakening to the voice of her first love. Spiritual blinders are being removed and now the Light of His glorious love shall awaken them to newness in the Spirit.
The people who sat (dwelt enveloped) in darkness have seen a great Light, and for those who sat in the land and shadow of death Light has dawned. (Matthew 4:16 Amplified)
AND THEY SHALL KNOW HIM AS I AM
Moses had an encounter with the burning bush and God required of him to go to the children of Israel. Moses doubted in his mind whether they would believe him so he questioned God. God referred to Himself, as I AM WHO I AM. Tell them I AM has sent you! That’s a pretty strong message. But it’s important that God’s children today understand I AM. Because those who have ears to hear His voice and walk in His likeness are going to walk in demonstration of His attributes. God has never changed (Malachi 3:6) His name is the same today as it was in the beginning.
Then Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.” (Exodus 3:13-15)
GOD IS INFINITE POWER
One reference of the name I AM WHO I AM is that God is an inexhaustible source of energy. Isaiah 40:28 says; The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.In the beginning God said, “Let there be” and spoke all things into existence. He is the Creator of everything including energy. He is an immeasurable reservoir of power. He never needs recharged nor does He require a backup system. Everything in the universe requires the energy only He can provide. He never faints or grows weary. (Acts 17:28)
I believe the new identity the body of Christ is awakening to is the awareness of I AM and the knowing that the Power Source of the universe is alive within them. In the same way God sent Moses to Pharaoh with a message of deliverance, so shall many Christians have encounters with I AM and receive assignments of deliverance. Paul delivered his message to the Gentile while Peter brought his to the Jew. Get ready to know the all knowing, the all-powerful I AM WHO I AM. And know that in this day I AM is sending forth His deliverers; some to the cities and some to the nations, while others will be great deliverers in the marketplace. “Fear not, says the Lord, My hand is upon you for the greater works and in these troubled times you shall be the deliverers to bring in the harvest. Amen.”
